Capt. Eric Matland helped me get my son Pat into some very nice stripers on the Connecticut River this week. I was hoping for some bigger fish our new Surface Poppers and Eric put us in a promising spot early in the am.
There was a lot of action with some great blowups, misses and follows. It only lasted about 45m but man what a blast!

LOL... yes we are sox fans. Grew up minutes from Springfield, MA and went to college in Boston in 1975. Don't hold it against us... we have only been non=suicidal for a few years.
