Met BobG at the boat at about 1pm. We headed out and once clear of the inlet we headed north.
It was hard to sight the bunker today. We spotted the first pod at about 130. Headed over to them and snagged a few. Sent them down to bottom and I was hooked up within minutes. BobG slid the net under it and first one in the box for us. It taped out to 39 inches.
We found another pod of bunker and BobG was hooked up with a nice fish. After a good battle Bob brought the fish to the net. This beast taped out at 41 1/2 inches. Very nice fish.
We hooked up and dropped a few more fish before Bob connected with another keeper, thus, limiting out. This fish was sent back to King Neptune to fight another day as we had plenty for the grill.
After Bob filled his limit the blue fish moved in. Several bite offs and we were done. Back to the dock by 5.
Good day on the water and enough meat for the barbie.
As a side note:
We watched a boat drive into a pod of bunker. There was no one else on this pod, so no big deal. The great part about this is one of the guys was trying to net the bunker when they pulled into the pod. Nope, not with a cast net, WITH A LANDING NET. Yes, you heard me right. They had a net that you would land a fluke with, trying to net bunker! Didn's see them get one. ;D

Joe,
It was a pleasure to meet you and shoot the breeze with you about fishing yesterday also. Man, you must have jumped right on the boat after we had coffee, LOL. No sense in wasting time, I say. Congrats on a great catch, great pics too, shows what a nice day it was out there.
Let me know what you think of the hooks once you use them, good luck.

Nice Job Guys t^ Hey Joe Drew was on the water with the his uncle, Coyote Cal, He said he thought he saw you on their way in and tried calling you on channel 10. They fished the Red CHurch for fluke they ended up with 3 keepers the biggest 23".

Garry, I did jump on the boat right after I left from meeting with you. Bob G was already there waiting. I wanted to get a couple of things done on the boat, but that can wait for later.
Skip, whenever I am heading toward the inlet I monitor channel 13. Like to hear what's going on with the big boys coming out so I can stay out of their way. TT^
