Title: Sea Hawk - Fathers Day
Post by: njdevil on June 15, 2008, 04:34:11 PM
Went on the Sea Hawk today for Fathers Day with my Dad, Nephew(21) and Brother(hates to fish). Great day, caught three keeper fluke between all of us(19-1/2" to Pool Winner caught by my Brother, go figure) Also caught several 2-4lb Bluefish and alot of small fluke. Two coaches had some of their young football players out today, very nice kids and they caught keeper fluke, some caught their first fish ever! Did run into some rain but not bad. Anyone who is thinking about going out on the Sea Hawk, take my word you will have a good time. Capt. worked hard to put us on fish and burned fuel doing it, mates top notch, worked their tails off netting fish, take fish off lines and dealing with tangles, great guys. If I did not just buy a new boat I would be a regular on the Sea Hawk and I still might. Great way to spend Fathers Day with my 80 year old father who taught me how to fish. Thanks Dad. ;)

I forgot to say what baits worked today spearing, hands down. I used my own hand tied teasers today and they work to tipped with spearing, white and char. Did loose two to the old yellow eyes. I will need to tie up some more.

Great report. I hear the Sea Hawk goes above and beyond trying to put their clients onto fish.

Well I came home and my family had a great meal for me, porterhouse steak, scallops wrapped with bacon and fresh corn on the cob. Oh and keylime pie. But than it happened broke and dislocated my little toe. Four hours at JKF and a day off today. Doctor had to relocate it by grabbing the broken toe and giving it a hard pull, hurt like hell. But still even with a broken toe at the end of the day I had a great fathers Day.

I'd sacrifice one of my little toes for a meal like that  ;D

Saw the Sea Hawk last night on their magic hour trip. Look ed like they were carrying a very light crowd.

Nice report

My dad boated a nice fish the other day it had mouth, gullet, belly, you name it just stuffed with small spearing 2-3"L like 15-20 of 'em yet it still hit a squid head.....

It puked them spearing up right in the live well and we used 'em for bait  t^

Also had one puke up a baby fluke only 3" long, still transparent except the guts, man did we release that short quickly....  ::) Guess it looked like a gulp mullet...

Man them fish is a-feastin'

Sounds like you had a nice trip TT^

Saturday was tough, Theresa was high hook with two keepers, me and my uncle had none.  Monday's marathon trip was tough as well. Buddy Ronnie had three keepers for high hook, me with one, and Theresa with none.

Theresa's two from Saturday:
