Me, BobG and Lou tried our luck today. Wanted some bass, but that was not to be. Headed north out of Shark River and found bunker off of Bradley Beach. Snagged several and sent them down to the bottom.
Had several come back lacking their body. Sent the head back down with no luck.
Also had numerous hooks bitten off, including snag hooks when the blues hit the bunker that were snagged.
Just couldn't find a pod of bunker with bass on them, but I'm sure they were there somewhere.
Got tired of the bite offs and decided to try our hand at fluking. Fluked for about a half hour when we noticed a huge rain cloud wandering in. Picked up our lines and hi-tailed it out of there. Back to the dock by 1pm and cleaned the boat.
Will try again maybe Tuesday.
