Left Seawaren today on the JP II.....only 5 regulars aboard and wasn't sure if the Capt was going....he did as it was the fluke "opener" for the boat.
Started at the triangle off PA at the top of the tide.....nice drift......caught two shorts on the teaser...nice fish, but short of the 18" mark.
Shifted to the Keyport flats; then fished the 4 to 6 bouys in the Reach.....again nice fish up to 17 3/4 (what a shame to let those go).
Over to the Belford channel...again lots of action, but the fluke caught there were all small.
Finished the day back at 4 to 6 buoys and nailed a few more "last year keepers"
All in all nice day on the water and a good effort by the Capt......I'm sure today was a losing proposition for him, but not for his customers. Back at the dock at 3:30.
About 25 fish caught today, but we had to draw from the hat to decide the pool....back again at it next week. t^

Good report, sounds like the Capt tried his best, it is a shame the amount of decent fish being thrown back. Especially when you think of a 20% mortality rate
