Title: Twilight on the Jenny Lin
Post by: fin_s_guy on June 26, 2008, 09:35:07 AM
Not much to report, but we did get 2-3 keepers without any bait used. Did an all bucktailing trip in the back of Raritan bay with "lite" jigs tipped with Gulp's. Too much wind made for some tough fishing, but once it died down, we picked through a few fish. Still a decent crowd out there with alot of families enjoying the nice weather, which is nice to see.

Pete did pick up on something interesting with the Spro's. The 1oz turned out to be .8oz weighed on a postal scale. You wouldn't think that would make a difference, but it definately did. Tough to get 'em down in the deeper water.

Glad to see you picked up some keepers. The wind really picked up out of the South in the PM.,there were white caps and hard to bucktail with the small stuff.

I usually need at least 4 oz to get down where I fish. (mostly 50+ft of water) Sometimes even put on an 8 oz'er. :P Makes for a long day with sore arms.
Good job on the keepers.  t^
