Title: Fishbites
Post by: Still Running on July 21, 2008, 08:36:14 AM
Has anyone tried the fishbites bait? I found them when I was in Ocean City MD. I bought one pack in white. Caught fish on them, but what a pain to get them off of the hook when your done.

Dicks has them, including the longer strips...I like to use them for porgys and seabass in the fall....they work well for me.

The longer strips may be an alternative to Gulp!, but I haven't tried them yet.

Yes, they are proliferating in NJ very quickly.

They work well for the same reasons they are inconvenient- they stay on the hook.

Cut them off the hook with sharp scissors or Swiss army knife snippers.

Yes. We do carry them at Dick's.  As a matter of fact I was instrumental in pushing them in front of the buyers and getting them into the stores a couple of years back.  The funny thing is, although they sell "OK", they have not done great in the NJ stores. 5hrug
