Title: Crab Snares
Post by: Pfishingruven on August 24, 2008, 12:57:15 AM
Anyone ever used or tried one??  Look interesting, but I kind of doubt their success.  I am so curious and they are inexpensive, I may give one a try!!

The only way you could crab less effectively is to not use bait and try to catch them with your bare hands.

Seriously, though, they are not very good.

Thanks...I didn't think so!!  So many people rave about them and write these great reviews.  When you actually look at what has to occur to catch the crab, it looks impossible.  Knowing how many crabs fall off droplines only a couple feet below, I can't imagine reeling them in for 50-100 feet.

Maybe they work for a different species of crab, like dungeness on the west coast??

Thanks again!
