The Wife and I took the 14 footer up to Bulls Island State Park today on the Big D for some smallmouth fishing. I picked up a small bucket of Gulp 2" minnows in Black and Pearl. I heard good reports about this Gulp product from a few of the other River Rats. Well the wife handed me my butt AGAIN and out fished me with a flurry of nice smallies. Plus she whacked a Rockbass. Water was Gin clear and we could see the bottom sitting in 8 feet of water. Cathy fished her Gulp minnows on a 1/8 oz jig head and picked most of her smallmouth up in the fast water rapids. It was a nice day on the water with out all the weekend jet ski traffic.
