Title: First Mudhole trip

My first trip on my boat on Thursday. fished for Bass wed night for a few hours.

Got a few hours sleep on at the dock and ran out at 5am.  made it out to the weather  bueys and started trolling 2 cedar plugs and 2 tuna eyes. My buddy after about an hour says hes going below to rest his eyes and I was driving, watching the gps/ff and watching the poles when zzzzzzzzz. jumped up grabed the rod and spent 15 minutes reeling in a 30lb bluefin. darrin got gaffed it in real nice and we bleed it and continued trolling for about 5 hours.  Nothing after that but I was very happy. Deck got bloodied on my first offshore trip in my own boat. Darrin was a bit upset but he didn't go below any more that day.
Fish was cought on a blue/white cedar plug at about 230 feet.

Can't wait to do it again. We did try for some mahi but only found jacks.

About 40-50'  We had the tuna eyes out about 80-90'....
