Title: let the air out...cheap and easy
Post by: surfrocket on September 24, 2008, 06:17:12 PM
here is a simple tool anyone can make to help you air down your tires before driving on the beach.

get 4 paper clips like the ones shown below.

drill 1/8 inch hole in the center of the back of clip.

install either rivits or for adjustable ones machine screws in the holes you just drilled.

your done.... wasnt that easy.

now just clip them on and let it loose.

hope this helps someone, happy catching grtn

Nice write-up and pics Ken.
I made up a set of them.  They're definetly better then standing there at each wheel with a tire gauge.  And better then $60 for a set of deflators.
I read somewhere that you can figure out exactly how long it takes to get from normal tire pressure to beach pressure and take out the guesswork.
