As of right now the park will be open only at low tide and closed again by 6PM. Call the main office at (732) 793-0506 for opening info.
The water is fishable and the wind died down. If you are close and want to get out now is the time. CLAMS is the key word here. The beds took a good hit and shells all over the place.
You can read the conditions at the following link.
All hazards are in RED.

Conditions could not be any better as of right now. Most rips and cuts are holding fish and the pocket is alive with just about everything.
The inlet is holding everything from stripers to weakfish to kings and even a few croakers are said to be around.
Be ready if you are fishing the incoming tide as that has been the best of the two. Early morning is still the best shot for stripers and again clams are the key here.
If you don't like crowds Sunday will not be your day to fish the park the annual Governors Cup Fishing Tournament will be under way at 6AM so be ready for the park to be over run with thrill seekers.
Happy Catching
