Title: toms canyon 10 4/5
Post by: simba329 on October 07, 2008, 12:48:02 PM
Had the Hoffmann crew and their buddy Pete moonye out for an overnighter; broke the inlet around 1pm and had a very comfortable ride out.  Started trolling at the 50 line without much success and didn’t see much life either, so we hit the temp break just south of the toms.  We started seeing life so that was promising, but had no luck on the troll so we set up for the night and had a decent amount of marks on the screen.  We had are first Sword within an hour. In the end we went 3 of 5 swords, boated one around 160lbs landed some nice mahi  some over 25 lbs; but no tuna to count for. That was pretty much it for the night.  In the morning got up on the troll after an hr had are first fist longfin about 40lbs only went 2 of 4 on longfin all in all not a bad trip!

A Kuna Ma Tata, Simba.

Good report and welcome aboard.  Thanks for posting and if you would like to post pictures please feel free to do so as many of our charter fleet find it beneficial to do so and tell their clients to view themselves on line.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to throw them out there, we are a friendly group and we like to stay away from any friction.

Again Welcome Aboard

Happy Catching

Paul
