Title: AquaSkinz Albatross Bibs
Post by: gottog on October 07, 2008, 02:23:06 PM
The Albatross bib are in a class of their own! They are simply loaded with features you won’t find in similar products! This heavy duty bib is hard wearing and rugged, yet flexible without restrictions. Whether you’re working a deck of a commercial trawler or fishing an offshore wreck on your boat or party boat, this set of bibs will be the best invest you will make for a long time to come.

Heavy Cotton/Twill inner with tough outer PVC materials
Full waterproof chest & relief zipper
Welded seams and sewn internally for additional reinforcement
Multiple pockets for storage with stainless steel grommets & Velcro closures
 Gusseted upper for chest adjustment
 Gusseted boot entry for convenience
 Speed clip connectors on front
Generous cut for layering and freedom of movement

Was in the market for some new bibs and figured since we love the AquaSkinz gear we already have, why not give their bibs a try.
Well just got a pair for Theresa and myself.  They look good.  Heavy, yet quite flexible. Trying them on, it seems range of movement is real nice and they feel comfortable.
Do go big with the sizes as they seem to be designed to fit snug.  Plenty of pockets and the zipper will make hitting the head much, much, much easier TT^
Smallest size they have are mediums and a bit big for T, but we'll work that out.
Nice gray color too t^

Hopefully give them a test run very soon and will update with our real-world evaluation. grtn

Think MSRP is around $99. Seems to be a little more than the "standard" Grundens Herkules bibs, but add in the other features the AS has and then it's reasonable.  Right in line with their Harvestor line, actually a lil less expensive then them and has some more features. TT^

Did I mention they're gray? t^ Favorite color hhppy

Can't really say more until they're on while I'm on deck wiping slime into them chrz

Nice review. Can't wait for the test run. I'm in the market for new rain gear.

Just a suggestion. Go out tomorrow and let us know how they worked out.  TT^

TBO, I am not familiar with the Bayman. I take it that is an Aquaskinz product.

If so, not a good mark for their costumer service.

I've had my Hurricane since they came out.  No issues and still like new.  That's with me squeezing into it, throwing it around, getting it soaked, etc. T's Ramapage is fine too. 5hrug

Earliest I'll be testing them out would be Sunday.

TBO, should of checked with me first.  Sometimes it's not who you know, but who knows you grtn

Tried them out briefly on Sunday.  Didn't wear them all that long as it was just too nice out on the water.

The zipper feature rocks!!!  Much easier to hit the head while out on the water  TT^

Comfortable too. Easy to move around in them.  They do seem to run a bit small so make sure you try them on or order a size up if you're thinking about getting these.

So far so good and looking forward to enjoying these later in the season chrz

Worn them twice since the first time and so far so good TT^

Zipper is a godsend especially after downing the morning coffees hhppy

Seem to be a bit "heavier" than Grunden's so they were nice and warm.

Legs are a bit long, but no other issues to speak of.  Liking them alot t^ t^
