A Black Drum was caught on IBSP today that weighed iin at a nice 63.1 pounds and was 48 inches long. NICE... t^
There were a few bass caught as well but not necessarily in the park. All were caught on clams even the Drum.
I guess the clams are still in the running for best over all fish catching bait right now.
Good Luck to all
Happy Catching

That's a nice fish! What type of setup are they using to land these huge drum I read about! I know my surf plugging rod would probably break in two rofla!

I am sure that they were not targeting them. I would say it was probably an fishfinder or something similar. But it was caught on a clam, something that is very abundant in the park.
If you fish the surf a lot you getr used to using the waves to help you bring those big ones in.

Yeah, that's true! I know they get them up into the 100+lbs at times. I don't know if my 14# test would withstand that...although, I don't know if it will hold up to a decent size striper ;D?? I need to get to the B&T and get some PP or Sufix around the 30# mark with a decent shock leader!
