Well, now that the water will start to chill down and I probably enjoyed my last day of shoeless surf casting on thursday, I am in the market for a new set of waders. I have been using a set of hodgeman breathable felt sole waders but they have seen better days. I was kind of disappointed at the way they went on, very tight around the foot and they were very restricting when trying to kneel down. I think I might try neoprene this time.
I just wanted to get some feedback as to what others are using around the site and make a more educated decision this time around. I am also trying to keep things around $100. Any tips?

Neoprene is very tight! It will be a lot tighter and more restrictive than your breathables! They are very warm in the winter though and when you sweat, you get drenched in them. I, personally, would stay with the breathable boot foot. Although, you may like the neoprene. Best bet would be to hit the stores and try them on and see what fits the best and which you like the best.
I gave in a week or so ago and started wearing my heavy, clunky waders rofla!

i got a pair of breatheables end of last year with a gift card fron bass pro shops. unfortunately, they are stocking foot, and i think they'll do better for my very infrequent trout expeditions
