Holy!! Wow!!

Good find. Crazy!! Those guys in the front moved really quickly! I saw the name on that boat...I think I will avoid going out on that one...
I think that was the last storm, a couple of weeks ago! In the link it says September 28, 2008, so that would make sense!!

Goes to show you how any inlet can be bad at times. You hear the horror stories about Barneget, This is Shark River one of the safest. That had to be recent with in the last 2 years , the ocean explorer is one of the newer boats in Belmar. Nice Find t^

Pretty scary photo. Glad I was not aboard that boat. ;D

Yeah, the Ocean Explorer is the old Skipper. Changed hands and names last year.
With the shoaling at the mouth of the inlet it does get snotty. They dredged the inlet a few months ago but it still gets nasty at times.
Very scarry to be in that situation.

Looks like the Shark River Inlet entrance is in need of some serious dredging.

Pics 19 and 20 are a nice shot of a SF leaving the inlet.

no offense but shark river not one of the safest???
pretty narrow with a bridge, get evil on a whim, and the pier to the south gets confused as the inlet by out of towners in the fog all the time....
manasquan way safer with evil condition
cool pics
