To follow up on the subject of Crippled Herrings being discontinued, it looks like a case of "Good News / Bad News".
Good News: They will continue to produce the Crippled Herring up to 5 oz. ;D
Bad News: They will continue to produce the Crippled Herring, but only up to 5 oz. >:(
I would think that would cover you pretty well for inshore fishing (striper, bluefish, etc). Although you may miss having that 7 1/2 oz. model to throw on for some of those nasty days. I'll bet the offshore (tuna, cod) guys will miss that size and bigger. I believe they used to make them up to 2 lbs!
Oh well. Guess it's time to stock up! ;)
Here's Luhr Jensen's Crippled Herring assortment for 2009.

Thanks for the info.
The only saving grace is there are a fair number of decent knock offs or at least something very similar. Doesn't seem to be the case with the Kroc Spoons though!
