With all the good reports and Pics of the past couple days, customers came out of the wood work today! Nothing like a little added pressure to keep you on your game. Naturally, the first drop had the current running so hard, 8 ounces were a problem and the bite was non-existent!
Made a move for better conditions only to find NO-CURRENT at all! Got out of thier fast. Drifted for a bit only to catch a couple blues and a few short bass. Went back on the anchor and just had to tough it out waiting for the change of tide.
Picked away on some nice fish. After the change we had a shot of Quality keepers including first timer this season, Mitch Jevics 3 keepers from 15 to 20 lbs! Birthday boy Kevin (from nj news) and fishing partner Bill combined for 6 keepers plus a few shorts. "Big Bob" Got his 2 keepers including the pool fish at 22 pounds....
Pretty much the same fishing as yesteday, but way too many customers going home without dinner...New Moon in 4 days, can't understand why so much current the past 2 days, it's always something!!! Capt.ron
