Title: Capt.Ron/Fishermen/Thursdays Flukin
Post by: 1captainron on July 09, 2009, 03:55:35 PM
Wouldn't call todays fishing good by any means, don't care how many shorts came up or what the total KEEPER number was. The first couple drifts were the best with a few very nice size fish. Tom Krako put 3 in the cooler and was High hook. Pool fish at 5 pounds. Wind against the tide after the change made it a futile attempt at putting any numbers together.
Fished Amrose for a while with only a couple shorts and a keeper....big dissapointment after the fishing there 3 days ago!! I'm sure the easterly flow, once again isn't going to help...
In my own opinion, I don't see a new shot of big fish coming into the bay, normally from here on out these fish are actually getting ready to leave from the back bays.....how many 10 pounders caught this season??? The upcoming Fluke tournaments should be interesting.
Blues Friday night 7:30pm Saturday and Sunday Afternoon 3:30pm till 9:30pm.
Chartered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week...thanks, Capt.ron

Great report and nice job!

Maybe the big ones are still hiding in the back bays...well wishful thinking >:( ::).
