Out early with a crew of Frank, Bob and Lenny for a shot at the inshore bluefins. Sniffed around a little and started seeing some fish and we trolled towards any visible pods and casted to them when we could. As we were trolling along the wwwtfb line started screaming and it was game on with Lenny on the rod. The fish make a couple of great runs but as soon as an the opportunity presented itself I stuck it and swung it. The 46" fish was ours and we gave it another hour or so trying for the over but it wasn't happening. Back to the barn by 1000 hrs. Unable to get an accurate weight on it but it bottomed out the 50# manley scale and never got the fish off the dock. Awesome morning on the water - God Bless Our Troops!

Replying to watsnext - let's just say I was so close that I almost didn't need a federal permit. These fish are and have been within 5-7 miles for the last month - guys who are bass fishing are seeing them.
