Title: REEL NAUTI- Wednesday
Post by: reelnauti on December 02, 2009, 08:53:31 PM
had Officer Andrew in the passenger seat today.  left WAY late for lots of reasons....non fishing related....does ANYONE read the resumes I send them?!! ...anyway....

cleared manasquan inlet to calm seas and headed south, and let me be the one to say should have stayed south!!  no intel to go by, so we poked around some places close to home looking for an easy home run, ran into a fleet off mantaloking, where Andrew managed a FLUKE.

Read some fish but couldnt stay on em so went to an amusement park.   Read em GOOD and tight and landed a 30" fish.....got intel from the north...
picked up and made a mad dash into "freshening seas"....half way to the intel location, ..."...turned off, shorts, stay south..."  TOO LATE, we had the culprit in our sights....oh, we did run in to some 100lb+ tuna checking the world out from two feet ABOVE sea level, very cool.

Arrived on station, saw the birds, saw the marks, lost some jigs....no fish for us.

Fuel level critical, motored into the "pay as you pump" belmar gas station.

Back on the outside, ran to an area that was productive last week, no one home.

Set up a shad troll and found some various sized bass mid-way between the inlets, another keeper in da box.  Jigged a few shorts and to the barn we went.

Nice day with Officer Andrew......
