Title: 5/16 Sandy Hook
Post by: Still Running on May 16, 2010, 05:36:50 PM
Headed out today with my father in law, wife and daughter. Put out three lines, one Stretch 25, one 9er rig and a bunker spoon. Pulled them around for about an hour and then one rod fired, then the second rod went off and then the third. My father in law had the first with the stretch and had the one with the 9er and left the one with the spoon in the holder. After a few minutes his leader broke, so I told him to grab the other rod. I pulled up Three blues on the 9er rig and my father in law said he has a Striper at the boat. I turned for the net and it was gone. The rest of the day was nothing but blues.  Great day on the water and not a many boats as I thought I would see.

Finished the day by having the fuel tank cap chain break off and going into the water.  rgmn rgmn
Two trips to West Marine and it’s fixed!  clp

Nice report Rick and crew.
The fuel cap is in Davey Jones locker now.

I stopped to fill her up at AH before heading in and when I pulled the nozzle out I watched the chain break and the cap fall in.  rgmn

It wasn’t the big deal that the cap was gone, it was that Wet Marine didn’t have one to fit. It turned into a project of replacing the whole housing. Two hours of jerking around.
