Title: Roosters Flukin 8-12
Post by: Peterooster on August 12, 2010, 06:49:59 PM
Strong winds from the East, incoming tide, tough fishing conditions in Sandy Hook Channel, but I managed one keeper Fluke at 19½" first thing this morning. Tom and I headed back out to #13 SHC but found the conditions unfishable, made a turn out to Flynns Knoll where rough water made it barely fishable. After the tide turned to outgoing the Fluke turned on. Once the tide ran hard the bigger fish showed, Tom landing two, I landed one more for a total this morning of four. We got tired of getting beat up and returned to our slip leaving them biting. It was a tough ride in, but once inside Sandy Hook Bay things improved. We were glad to have that 350 Chevy pushing the Roosters, we used it. Pete
