I like Fishfinders. 6/0-8/0 hooks snelled onto a 2' piece of 30-40# mono, with a swivel on one end. The sinker slide will go on the other side of your leader.

That is close to what I like to use and make myself. The only difference would be is a s follows. Swivel, 11 inch leader where the fish finder slides, than a fast link (size 11). Than a snelled 6/0 to 10/0 circle hook with either a swivel or a small loop tied to another leader about 11 inches again. Why the fast link this way I can change the size of the hook with out changing the whole rig.
Why so short of a leader? the longer the leader the more it will spin around itself, helicopter effect. All this moves just enough to allow the bass to suck up the bait and turn its head which is done in a heart beat.
When he turns its head the leader is just long enough to allow it to not spook and spit out the offering. It is on its way down the gullet and then the hook sets itself in the side of the jaw.
This is important if you are dead sticking. If you are make sure your drag is light enough to not allow your whole outfit to go flying but just tight enough to be able to set the hook.
Happy Catching

I use 6/0 or 8/0 Gamakatsu Circle Hooks
Leader 50 lb Pink Floro Carbon
Swivel 75# Roscoe
LEader Length from 16-24" depending on tide/location

Bunker/Shad Liveline Rig:
Main line to swivel, 40-60 lb fluorocarbon leader, 8/0 or 9/0 Gamakatsu.
This year I tried Gamakatsu 10/0 Big River Bait hooks (St# 225420), which helped some novice anglers with their hookset, as well as increasing the hook up ratio on the dead sticked rods.
Regardless of hook choice, it's important to have a few cold ones on hand to celebrate the capture of large Striped Bass. chrz <'((((><

Fish finder clam rig for braided line;
Blood red circle hook snelled on a 2' piece of 40# fluro and a spro swivel at the other end. From there I take a 12" piece of mono and tie a swivel to 1 end put slider( fish finder) here and tie end of mono to swivel on fluro and tie to braid.
