Tom and I had the Roosters out today after some downtime due to a failed raw water pump. We replaced the impeller last week and went for a shakedown leaving no time for fishing.
Pushing against the strong wind and waves we made our first stop East of the Ammo Pier where I landed the first keeper Fluke on a Killie, Tom soon followed with a keeper on a GulpĀ© grub. After the wind laid down we made our way to the Candlesticks where I landed two more keeper Fluke, once the tide slowed the fishing also slowed and we headed in to the Atlantic Highlands Marina. There were a few Sea Robins caught today which have been hard to come by this season, but no yellow-eyed demons. Pete
