Title: Slow Canyon Trip with Pics
Post by: Chicken of the Sea on August 10, 2011, 01:59:06 PM
After too long away from the deep headed out with a crew of Kirk, Reggie and Wayne. Stopped to look in the chicken and with nothing too promising pushed on to the Hudson. Arrived an hour or so before sun-up so we threw the meat for an hour with nothing to show for it. Up on the troll we had a billfish in the spread in the first 15 minutes and I thought we were gonna have a banner day. The fish swung at a couple of baits but never committed. Trolled all over the place and scratched out 6 tuna bites of which we landed five - 3 keepers -2 shorts (Reggie's first YFT). Had another billfish up that also wacked at the bait but wouldn't eat. All of the bites came on Sterling Tackle spreaders and daisy chain in rainbow and green and on islander/meat. God Bless Our Troops!
