Due to the approaching storms our trip was cut short.
Mboy met up with me at the dock around 1:30 I had the live well full of peanut bunker and mullet(yes mullet) we headed out to the sandy hook channel to see Luna Sea and Joey G. we set up on our own little spot we had hits right away I missed a few and caught a bunch of sea robins and a doggie or two.
Mboy hooked into a nice 19" fluke and thought we were onto some fine fishing, we wound up making three drifts before the storms started approaching.
Made a quick decision to head into safer waters, but not before hitting a school of 7-8 lb blue fish.
Just beat the first storm in and went to get a quick bite then headed back out only to find ourself caught up in one heck of a storm got in just before the hail hit.
That was a close one a bit hairy on the flight in!

An adventurous day no doubt.
Not enough fishing time, but plenty of time with good company.
Saw some friends ont he water.
I have to tell you tho, I was a bit nervous with thelightnening crashing all around us on the way back to the dock.
Saw the low clouds approaching us, felt the thunder, blinded by some of the lightening flashes.
Made it to the truck with 1-2mn to spare before hail started coming down.
Can't wait to fish with Eddie again. Hopefully within next week or 2.
We got some serious catching to do out there.

Great report,
Thanks guys for the pics. Just to let you know there was a tornado warning north and west of Raritan Bay. Not sure of a touch down but the warning went out which means it was eminent.
Be careful out there guys :-\
Happy Catching
