I don't anyone there. Sorry

The colder it gets the harder it is to start?
Runs rough when it does start and then runs better as it gets up to temp?

the colder it gets the harder to start yes. when its really cold I have to spray it with starter fluid and even sometimes that doesn't work. Yes. rough when it finally does start. Also when trying to start tons of white smoke.

Yup that's it

Check the glow plug relay first, but that's most likely not the problem.
Seen it many times and it's the injectors.

I would not use starting fluid in that engine, you could blow it up.

What year is the truck?

If you have never done it before, about 8 hour job.

You need 7 of this injector

and 1 of this injector.

I would also replace both under valve cover harness's since yu have the valve covers off.

It's not hard you just have to make sure you clean the injector holes with a wire brush and suck out the oil from the top of the pistons.

If you decide to do the job let me know and I will let you know what you have to do.
