Title: Roosters Flukin 8-21-14
Post by: Peterooster on August 21, 2014, 07:02:15 PM
Fishing the lest when wind is East held true today as Tom and I started our Fluke adventure in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor near the fishing pier. Short Fluke were plentiful inside the harbor to outside the breakwater and over to the Shrewsbury Channel. The fishing pier is getting attention from anglers as keeper Fluke have been caught lately as big as 24”. The next move for us was between the channels where a few party boats were fishing, here there was a big heave going on from the easterly wind and more short Fluke. Down the beach past the Nude beach the roll was not very bad, but only shorts and plenty of Skates were available. Back in at noon with no keepers.  Pete
