Title: Forgot how much fun snappers could be
Post by: gottog on September 02, 2014, 01:47:59 PM
A little late with the report but took the little guy out for some snapper action at the Perth Amboy marina two weeks ago.

Had a blast with the yellow-eyed demons.  Had to chum them up and had decent flurries of action but a lot of fun.  Spearing under bobbers.  Little man would watch the bobbers, grab the rod, and reel on his own.  Caught quite a few.  Of course by the end of the day he seemed to enjoy tossing the whole spearing to them to be more fun  TT^

And the "no fishing" sign is only about not fishing on the inside of the pier where the boats are docked.  We fished the side you're allowed to.  chrz

Yeah he's pretty tall for a 3 year old.  Will be 3.5 yr later this month.  He's going to start pre-school next week but did a few stay-n-play days there so far (couple hours) and loves it.  Towers over some 4 year olds even.

Seems to like fishing.  Says he wants to catch some crabs and tuna now.  Guess that's thanks to Deadliest Catch and Wicked Tuna that we watch together  TT^

Hopefully he'll be asking for the car keys to drive me to go fishing  chrz
