Got a PM from Darren (Fishin' Dude) with a surprise. He told me he won aa open boat trip on the Sea Horse at this year's banquet. And that, since he's laid up for the rest of the fishing season, he'd like me to have it. t^
I planned on bringing Katie, but her plans changed and she couldn't go. So, I called my friend, Gary, and we gave it a go.
The weather was HOT! It may have been a little better on the water, but not by much. As far as the fishing, the action was decent all day. I personally contributed to conserving the fluke population by reeling some of them about 6 feet off the bottom and then "releasing" them. ;D
Saw some fat fish landed and a couple of limits on the boat. We had a great time and each wound up with a keeper each.
Thanks Darren! You're a good guy. slt I hope you're back and fishing again way ahead of schedule.
Thanks again buddy!
