Saturday: Tried drifting eels in SH Channel for a few hours. Not a touch in very nasty conditions. Moved inside and had a bluefish bite off the hook after a nice jump. Back at the dock by 9:30am.
Sunday: Had my son Dan and his friend Scott out looking for bluefish. Tried jigs on some marks but no takers. Put out umbrella's and went 3 for 4 on large blues trolling. We also dropped 2 on jigs. Headed inshore and tried bottom fishing only to catch a mess of bergals and a large silver eel.
Here is a picture of Dan with an 16 pounder.
