The 2015 tuna trip is a 24 hour trip on October 9 - 10
Fare will include the services of 3 deck hands, ice for fish, rod and reel for anyone who needs it and all bait.
We leave the dock 3:00 PM Sharp
We will be fishing for Tuna and we will deal with the others depending how the trip goes.
Capt. Bob said he can bring a cook on board if we would like.
There is a microwave on board and we are free to use it.
If the trip is cancelled by the captain due to poor weather, we will return your payment in full.
Captain and crew of the Gambler will make every effort to make this a great trip for your group.
If anyone has any questions please post them because Capt. Bob is going to become a sponsor of our site and I’m sure he will answer them as his time allows and I can always email him with a list of questions.

2nd payment of $120.00. No later than 8/31

Yes, I will have more RONZ Lures in stock next Spring, including more of the 4X in the green glow color. In the meantime, the 8" & 10" Original Series baits kill the stripers too! TT^

I think it is a 2 year wait for one of those custom rods. They have a great warranty. The builder watches you and as soon as you hook a fish he calls out warranty is over. The good news is is catches fish and puts it on the boat. t^

I just put the names on the list, didn't pay attention to how I was putting them on the list.
A few things we will do different for this trip.
I think we will board as per names on the list and the list will kept by people who are paid in full goes to the next one to the top.
We will not be texting, Pm'ing or calling to remind people it's time to pay.
All questions and answers will be posted on the thread.
All this is being done just to cut down on the amount of work it takes to put this trip together.
Make sense and fair?
Capt Bob has giving me the OK on the date and will be sending me the contract in the next few days. I will need to know if we have enough guys soon so I can return the contract.
This years trip guys dropped out for different reasons and I want to thank everyone who helped filling in the open spots and I'm sure as long as we get close to the 24 I will send him back the contract given the amount of time we have.
So for now get your name on the list even if it's on the waiting list because I'm sure the list will change many times.

A thought for food, IF enough were interested, Leone's in point pleasant has some great Italian meats and cheeses, etc that we could pool together to buy some nice eats to take. Nothing like a fresh made sand which out there... chrz

Slice the Kielbasa get chunked pineapple and stick it with a toothpick on top of a slice of Kielbasa,bake to a golden brown.

A storm is brewing and looks like it's going to run up the east coast.

Rick and I talked about this last night. If I recall correctly it was permitted as long as there was 100 or 200 yards of mono. I plan on bringing my stuff with braid and top shots.

100 or 200 yards of mono top shot = 300 or 600 feet of mono fishing at 130- 200 feet of water with the scope you may never even get down to the braid

My son-in-law Bill is bringing along a Keurig coffee maker for the trip.
I will bring 4 gallons of water, sugar,some containers of 1/2 and 1/2 and milk, styro cups with lids, and a couple boxes of K-Cups for those who forget and the boats Capt. and crew.
Please bring along your own K-Cups, tea, hot choc., creamers,travel mugs, etc.
(the machine also obviously makes hot water)
Guess you could also make some hot instant broth or SOUP too.. ;D pawle

Everyone seems to be breaking the rule and checking the weather.
I sent Capt Bob an email and waiting to hear back on when he will make the call if we are a no go.
I'm sure he will not make the call so early.
If you remember last year is was poor weather forecast and it was fine come game time.
As soon as I hear from him I will post.

Has anyone seen any reports from him? Seems like his website and Facebook pages are not very up-to-date.

I would guess one of the problems for lack of reports is that no one fished in the canyons the last 2 weeks because of the weather. I found this report posted last night on another site.
"Just got back from a Voyage on a non-sponsor boat out of Pt.Pleasant. Scheduled for a 30 hour trip but we left at 10:00am to let the seas settle a bit. Not a bad ride out and once we were out there the seas were fine except for a big swell. Started mahi fishing and then anchored up around 7:00pm. I think everyone had between 5-15 mahi a piece. Biggest went around 20 lbs. Before the anchor got tight a few long fins were boated on jigs. After that it was a very slow pick on yellowfin from 60-80lbs. Never got a school going just one or two bites every hour on average. Fished at the rail jigging and bait fishing without a touch until 5:00am when we had a short blitz of long fin and was able to get two bites and boated 2 Longfin. In the end the boat boated a total of 31 tuna for 25 guys so I can't complain getting two of them. Longfin were between 40-60bs."
That is a good sign and I would think the tuna fishing should get better everyday as the ocean settles from that big blow we had.

I don't think any charter is going to give you that option.

if a trip gets going im in if not ill be booking a open boat trip which would cost less but not as much fun

If not enough guys for one of the larger boats, could look at others that would be around the same or less with fewer anglers going.
