Manahawkin/Ocean Acres-Snow this morning that changed over to a mix a few hours ago. Surfaces are slushy and slick. Winds gusting over 40 knots at times causing blowing snow from roofs and lawns.

The main event has yet to begin...

It's 845pm and it's doing nothing here in Mystic Island. No snow on the ground.Temp is 32 on my Davis Weather Wizard. Hopefully it stays this way. 5hrug I had to empty the gard en shed completely to get the snow blower out. Prolly took me an hour to do that last night when I finally convinced myself that just maybe they might be close on the forecast.

It's another BS weather report by the BS weather people. Why do we bother to listen.

It's 8:00 AM Tue still snowing moderately about 5" accumulations snow plows just passed, temp 21deg. Wind from the N is light.

I haven't been out yet but the snow appears to be light and fluffy, should be easy to plow.

I'm thinking I'll be a nice guy and run up and down both sides of my street to snow blow everyone's sidewalks just to burn out the tank of gas I filled up on thinking it was going to be "so bad"... thud

I wish people would stay off the roads so when I'm out there plowing my driveway I don't have to be concerned with any of these nuts hitting me.

I wish I had that luxury! Unfortunately work doesn't care what Mother Nature deals out!

Roads were a ghost town this am at 430.  Saw 2 other cars total in a 35 mile ride.

I'm not making that statement to pertain to guys that have to go to work. It's all the other people that just want to drive around and see what the snow looks like...I'm sure you know the type. Back in the day I was considered essential personnel,so I never had a break, I will say I'm glad that faze of my life is finished.

Plowed about 6"~8" of snow here in Farmingdale/Howell. Easy pushing light fluff. No big deal. Wish some of these local town workers would learn how to push snow back. ::) >:(. Glad we escaped the bullet this time.

I hear ya!  Nothing worse than joyriders on a snotty day!!

I'm considered "essential" as far as work and "dispensable" as far as the family is concerned .... ::)
