National Marine Fisheries Service is considering a petition to list the common thresher shark as endangered or threatened. Public comments sought. See http://www.examiner.com/article/should-common-thresher-shark-be-listed-as-threatened-or-endangered

The tree huggers won't be happy until everyone sits at home eating dandelions. Let them put up evidence that thresher are being over-fished instead of just putting out a statement. Facts, we need facts. Where are their studies? Where are their numbers? Just another puff of smoke from them. At this point, only baseless drivel from them. nosmly
