Fished on the Fish monger today with Mark(treebeard). As always with the Fish Monger we had a terrific day.... I originally booked this day hoping for a mixed bag of fluke/stripers but neither bite has materialized... Thankfully seabass are a solid backup plan. Within seconds on our first drop I had a doubleheader and from there onwards it was drop and reel. Constantly rebaiting clams got old pretty quickly. Boxed our 13 man limit and then fluked for the final hour. Finally tally for me for the day was 30 or so seabass shorts, 15-20 keepers, 2 blackfish(1 short/1 keeper), 5 short fluke and a nice keeper. For most of the day it was "stupid fishing". Service was great too and I can't wait to be back on the Monger on the 15th, top notch operation in every way.
