Title: Roosters Flukin 9-17-15
Post by: Peterooster on September 17, 2015, 07:33:30 PM
Perhaps this will be Tom and I’s last Fluke trip this year with next weeks report of East winds sending the fish out. With that said we found the mother lode of Sea Robins off the beaches of Sandy Hook, there were some just 6” and other large ones to 16”.
Made a move to Romer Shoal where I picked up a 20” keeper Fluke and Tom landed a 18” fish.It was a great day on the water with light winds and bright sun.
There was quite a fleet out in Sandy Hook Channel that we declined to join. And for those that like to fish close to home, there were many small Fluke between the Atlantic Highlands Harbor and the Shrewsbury Channel known as the mouth of the river.  Pete

t^Let's see how the weather turns out this week before it's all over. Not for a lack of effort on behalf of many. Tuff year. Good luck, tight lines.
