Livewell was loaded with peanut bunker and big killies. We brought the offshore gear too in case we saw anything worthy. Friends Scott, Mike, Cashin and John made up the crew. At the mud hole the water was green. We hit up several pots from depths 90' to 180' with bucktails on light spinners. We saw some triggers but no Mahi were around. The color clarity chart showed clean water 30 miles east by the Yankee wreck and we opted not to make the move. We switched over to fluking just west of the mudhole and waved hello to Christian fishing on the Monger with Jerry. Countless short fluke and skates, doggies were landed. Cashin got 2 keepers. Scott pulled in a huge silver eel in the 6lb range that was released. Overall fun day out with the guys chrz

A run out to the Mud Hole is,always adventurous, never know what's out there.

Nice try, Eddie. I did manage to get a 12" mahi on a small spoon trolling by the pots at 17. We also got a lot of cocktail blues out there.

30 miles might not have made any difference and really you are talking 60 miles of driving/great day anyway
