Title: Pops Soul South Wind Saturday
Post by: Pops Soul on September 10, 2016, 08:28:34 PM
I had Big Dave and his Skinny Mike with me today, We made a left turn out of SRI an made our way to Asbury Park in 60 ft of water for the first drift, waer was dirty and no one was home. Headed North off of Deal and found some cleaner water at 65 ft South wind was already kicking and the Parachute was out made a couple long drifts picking up a couple shorts and a barely legel seabass released. Next drift I hook up and Big Dave snags I get the fish up and see that its a nice fish well hooked and take the chance and swing a 4 lber  past daves face. next drift the wind is building and I hook up again Dave gets the net this time and slips the 24 inch fish into the boat. We make a move into 50 ft of water and try another drift seas are building  fcp I pull the plug around 12:30 and we take the slow long ride back to the inlet  thud The water temps are hanging in there  around the 70 degree mark. The fluke season clock is ticking :P
