Title: Roosters Flukin 5-25-2018
Post by: Peterooster on May 25, 2018, 06:30:00 PM
The first day of Fluke season turned out to be mild temperatures, a bit breezy. There was little action in Sandy Hook Bay, so up the Navesink we went. It was windy up near the Oceanic Bridge. With a slow pick we went from spot to spot and met up with old friends.Seaweed was bad near shore and we stayed near mid river where I picked up a 19” Fluke and Tom a 20”.Sea Robin strips were the hot bait. There were other Fluke caught that were shorts. At this time the tide was about to go slack and we returned to our slip at Atlantic Highlands Harbor about noon.  Pete
