Title: Phyllis Ann BFT Run 6/28
Post by: Hotrod on June 29, 2019, 10:48:47 PM: Headed out to the tuna grounds Yesterday with Bob And Jason, After the 40 mile trip we had a nice Tuna take the Rainbow Spreader, Jason jumped on the fish, and after what should have been a longer fight he had him boat side.. this fish was green and not happy when he seen me and the gaff.. After grabbing the leader the game was over as the stinger line broke off the spreader.. My fault for not keeping up on my gear..
Spent the next 9 or so hours covering 90 miles on the troll zigzagging through the most life I have ever seen offshore.. With no other takers.. 190 miles 14 hours on the water..

Gunna Re string all my spreaders, and just purchased a Harpoon.. There are times I wish I had one.. like yesterday..

10 to another location and 10 back. that's 120.. so 2 6.5 knots we covered 70 miles on the troll rgmn
