Here it is, Jan 28th and the togs fishing is still OK.
Decided to try the OE today, and so did about 30 others.
Tried to get white leggers at the Fisherman's Den, but they were not available. As it turned out, green crabs were the ticket today, go figure.
Last two trips the whiteys caught the lion's share of the catch.
I estimate about 30 keepers caught today, with the largest about 8 lbs.
Some guys fished clams and we saw quite a few nice sized ling caught as well.
My fishing buddy and I managed 3 keeper togs, one of which went about 6 1/2 lbs. We also boated some ling, caught on shrimp.
Pretty nice day on the water. We fished the "Farms" and had a few other boats out there as company.
Got to keep going as long as the weather isn't sub-freezing. It fills in the gap until flounder time. t^

Actually I got the date wrong..it was today, the 29th. :-\
That's what happens when you are retired and focused more on the weather report to pick your fishing day instead of the calendar! TT^
