Tom and I had the Roosters out on Sandy Hook Bay today looking for our favorite flatfish. No disappointments today, everywhere we went the Fluke are there, many shorts but five large keepers for our dinner. Tom had the biggest at 24"; the rest came in well over 18". The big one fell for a single large Bluefish strip, other baits that worked were Sea Robin strips, Killies did not produce well. The new Spros that we tried accounted for a couple of fish; the standard Fluke rig worked the best. The bay was flat; sky cloudy had the bay to ourselves amongst the clam boats. Pete
