NJ Fishing Locations Reviews / Getting back out again
« Last post by ped579 on March 20, 2023, 04:17:47 PM »Hi everyone. It has been a long time for me to hit the salt. With all my old aches and pains and not to go into any details here but It has been a rough few years. Right now the surf is not my friend so I am now allocated to fish from piers and the shore of the bay and rivers. That is okay so now I have to shift my thinking.
I have started to teach the next generation of fisherman, my grandson turned 6 so we had him out on the Toms River up by the park in South Toms River. We were targeting White Perch no luck but he did see and experienced the catching of a couple Striped Bass by someone about 20 feet from us. Pretty cool. Next time out (Wednesday) I will be bringing out my equipment and have him try to see if we can do the catching and not just the watching.
It is a NEW season and I hope to be posting a lot more.
