Guide to Fishing and Diving New Jersey Reefs
« on: January 21, 2009, 06:02:42 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of A Guide to Fishing and Diving New Jersey Reefs?  I think it was put out by the Artificial Reef Assoc. in 2000 but cant find any recent information.
thanks

I think it has been out of print since 2004 when I got my copy.

I believe I got it online from njscuba.net

They still have a reference to it on their website at the following link: http://njscuba.net/reefs/misc_references.html

It says on the back cover that it was funded by the Artificial Reef Association and published by The Fisherman magazine. Maybe you can locate a copy through them.

Good luck.

Try the Fisherman. They usually sell the older books at the shows. Maybe they still have one around. Send an email to Karen Wall kwall@thefisherman.com or Jim Hutchinson  jhutchinson@thefisherman.com  They should be able to help you out if they still have a copy.

That's a good book. I'll check around to see if anyone has an extra copy they want to give up.

They used to be $20 from the state which included the postage.  I have an old phone number which was the reef coordinator (Bill Figley).  I am not sure if the number is still good or not but here it is  609-748-2020

Thank you all for the reply; I will follow up on the leads.  I did contact the NJ Div of Fish and Wildlife and they told me it was out of print and scheduled to be reprinted but apparently there are financial issues with the reef assn and they are not sure it is moving forward.  I have a couple of phone numbers to call if anyone is interested:  Hugh Carberry or Jennifer Resciniti at 609-748-2022.

This is a great site.
