HOOK KEEPER
« on: April 14, 2009, 12:30:18 PM »
Got a new rod at the end of last season and it didn't have a hook keeper.  While I was getting by gear ready for the year I had an idea.  I used a tie-wrap with a screw attachment and wrapped it around the reel seat.  It worked so good that I added one to all my rods that did not have hook keepers.
I finally figured out how to downsize.  heres the setup.

I believe this is what you are talking about.

I use these. They can be purchased at most B&Ts.

Both would work well.  t^
