Saturday, February 21 Fishing Report
« on: February 22, 2009, 11:50:39 AM »
Fished on the Dauntless out of Point Beach and went to the Mud Hole.  Saw a dozen dolphin as we were going to make our first stop.  That was so cool.

I personally had only three ling.  Desent size.  The bite was not heavy.  I would doubt if anyone had more than 10.  Most had less.  Saw a few cod caught by two gentleman fishing next to me.  Too many dog fish.  A few pollock were caught.

A good day on the water.  It was like a lake on the way in.  Kind of choppy on the way out.

Spoke to a guy who got off the magic hours trip on the Norma K.  He had eight, but he said a  lot of folks had less and a few had more.

Be good!

Way to get out there GAF

How big were the cod you saw?

I would like to do a cod trip this spring but am not hearing good reports yet.

Even the Voyager is not running their 12hr cod trips due to a lack of fish.

Thank you all.

Kenny, the cod near me were keepers.  Not overly huge.  I forgot earlier, there was also a keeper sea bass caught in the bow.  The pool winner was a cod that was caught by the guy next to me.

GAF, nice to hear you got out fishing and had a good time ( beats fixing a door and plastering in the kids room).     t^
