Slow troll, umbrella rigs, stretch 25's and 30's, up and down the beach and over the Shrewsbury rocks.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

In addition to trolling, in the spring with the Bunker run, if you find bait you can snag bunker and liveline it out for stripers.  Jigging also works well.

Nothing like a live bunker, it's Striper Candy. But when the pods are scarce, trolling as described by Luna Sea 3 can put fish in the box.  t^ <'((((><

I would hold off fishing the ocean until may when the bunker pods start to head North.....

This would be your best shot to hook into some nice bass and you can sometimes find the bass just by seeing the large bunker schools.....

I fish from my kayak off the beach.... So you don't need to go out of your way..... Head out the inlet and just start looking for your bunker pods..... live bunker is the key

You don't need to always be trolling to get some big bass action.....Good Fishing  t^
The areas I fish are the ones you said where a wast of time
