NJ was reportedly and supposedly 4% over last years quota! 1+1=10 if you work for the the fisheries.

For whatever reason it was determined that this year at least half of the lower quota would be by shorter season. Thus, both the shorter season and lower quota.

It all comes down to the M/S Act  nts, which must be changed in order for the regs to make sense.  :-\

from what i understand....50 % of the reduction must come from the season being shorter....and they will not give us both holidays to fish for fluke (if season is open for memorial day it must be closed for labor day)
personally, i would rather have it open as far into septemper as possible....May sees alot of smaller fish anyway!!!!!!

Ask someone from JCAA they always seem to have an inside scoop. They set their tounament date well in advance from when the Regs were poated last year.....  ::)
